I pretty much never get political over this subject (with the exception of the shirt i wore at SXSW) because i believe that by fighting the fighters, you feed them. However, I find it sickening that in such an amazing country as the USA, with all their claims of 'freedom', that they have banned same-sex marriage in California. Seriously? Are we animals? is this the 70s?
Its 2009, people! I feel like i barely need to go into this because it's such a ludicrous thought that anyone would care that 2 people who love each other want to get married, regardless of gender, race and whatever else. It's discrimination and it's disgusting, this ban is essentially telling millions of people around the world that what they are born with is 'wrong'.
Even the Governor (did i mention it's Arnold fucking Schwarzenegger?) says homosexuals should have the right to marry - yes the governor! - who is "arnie" - he was in Kindergarden Cop! - aye!!

If you are from CA, go to this website and sign their petition so this hilariously nazi ban can be abolished next year. If you are not, go and give them your support anyway.

SAMMY DAVIS SNR

So we just finished making the video for "Some Dresses" with this guy Sammy Davis Snr. It went great but it was quite an odd experience. "Sammy", as he calls himself, is a total perv. He wouldn't tell us his real name. We think this is because he's on the Sex Offenders Register. But yeah, it was weird. He wanted us all to strip naked and cover ourselves in paint. When we told him we didn't want to be naked in the video, he told us it wasn't for the video. And later on he tried to kiss Duncan. It was really awkward. He did a Futureheads video once, the amazing one with the puppets. I am glad it was one that the guys weren't actually in, cos I dread to think what he would have done to Barry if he'd got his hands on him. Anyway we're on our way to Preston now, relaxing in the van and trying to cleanse ourselves of the past couple of days. I think the video's going to look awesome but this guy was really just far too sexual for our liking.

BRIGHTON, YOU JUST GOT PLAYED AT BY US TWICE.

We had a good time in Brighton at the festival of good escapes. Played with Mika Miko and The Black Lips and that was rad, then last night we played in a hotel (!?!) where everyone damn near tore the ceiling down. Thanks, dudes. Thudes. You crazy.
Other recent splashes: Katie Harkin and Jen Long are two seriously hilarious punks HI GUYS! We screamed at the ocean and tried to find the biggest pebble. I saw Marnie Stern and it was merely okay because her records are too good. We participated in a pop quiz hosted by David Quantick, where I knew an answer about the band Cast. I wrote a big thing about Demi Lovato for Platform (readplatform.com) and then Demi herself tweeted about us. And then I shat castles.

Anyway, we're on the way up the road to GLASGOW (SOMETIME HOME) before we make this video for our next single, then do some more music performance next week. Sweet team! See you in the positive and safe mosh pit!
